COMPLETING A LAB WRITE- UP

Read the following steps below to complete the lab write-up correctly.

TITLE-   the name of the experiment

HYPOTHESIS-   simply makes an educated guess as to what you think will happen in the experiment.

MATERIALS-   list all the supplies that you used to perform the experiment. Example: beakers, water, stopwatch etc.

PROCEDURES-   explain exactly the steps you used to perform the experiment using the order in which you proceeded. Use words such as: first, second, then, next, after, before etc.

You may also include drawings you draw to further explain the steps you took.

RESULTS-    the recorded data such as measurements, time it took to perform, end products, completed charts, any math calculations that had to be made etc.

CONCLUSIONS-   What was discovered or accomplished during this experiment? Write 3-4 sentences for EACH  experiment  or product tested or measured. For instance in the permeability experiment sand, soil, and pebbles were tested so you need a paragraph for EACH product tested. This means 3 paragraphs in this instance.

Then you need to write whether your hypothesis was correct or incorrect and why or why not.
